  • Economical Magnetic-Inductive Flowmeters

    The new compact type MIK magnetic-inductive flowmeters of KOBOLD Messring GmbH from Hofheim have a variety of measuring ranges and are available in an incomparable range of designs. Measuring ranges start at 0.01 l/min and currently end at 700 l/min. Six different measuring tube sizes from G ½ male to G 2 ¾ male are perfect for users with small to larged-sized measuring ranges. This device series combines the largest measuring range spectrum and the most design options with the lowest market price.

    Various material combinations are possible for different media in the chemical industry. Flow housings are available in PPS with stainless steel electrodes and PVDF with Hastelloy electrodes. A variety of seals are available in NBR, FPM, or the highly chemically resistant FFKM. Installation is quick and easy thanks to practical material-specific connection possibilities, such as PVC glue-in, stainless steel weld-on or PVC hose connections.

    For many applications like the monitoring of additives or cooling agents, totalizing, or batching, the devices which use the magnetic-inductive principle of measurement, are an optimum and cost-effective solution. These compact measuring instruments measure the flow rates of electrically conductive liquids with a high degree of precision and are not influenced by the medium and its material characteristics like density, viscosity, or temperature. Particular advantages include uninterrupted flow of the medium, no moving parts, and installation in any position desired.

    Matching electronics are offered for various tasks. This ranges from designs with only switching or analogue output to those with counting and dosing electronics, which offer numerous setting possibilities and outputs. Displays that are easy to read even in poor light ensure on-site information.

  • Compact Vortex Flowmeter

    The cost-effective flowmeter from the DVZ series are especially compact and can thus be ideally integrated into any application for low-viscosity liquids. They impress in numerous series applications due to their reliability and response time.

    The devices function without any mechanically moving parts and are therefore practically maintenance-free and have considerable advantages over devices based on the variable area or impeller principle. Unlike calorimetric flow measurement, its measuring principle works irrespective of the temperature and without time delay and can thus be used in time-critical applications as well. Flow measurement without moving parts The Vortex flowmeter does not require any moving parts in order to measure. A Karman vortex street is installed inside it. A sharp-edged object is integrated into the flow channel as an obstruction for this purpose. Vortices form at the generator and are then shed from the obstruction due to the medium flowing past. The shedding frequency is directly proportional to the flow speed and amount. The measurement process is suitable for practically all liquids with a viscosity similar to water – irrespective of the pressure, temperature, density and electrical conductivity of the medium.

    Due to its specific operating principle, the flowmeter is especially suitable for measuring aggressive, corrosive or saline solutions. It can also be used for ultrapure media without any problem. The DVZ series covers measuring ranges up to 100 l/min with its different versions. The devices can optionally be equipped with a fixed or rotatable connection. Depending on the version, a switch output (1 A/30 VDC), a frequency output (open collector, PNP) or an analogue output (4-20mA) are also available. In addition, a programmable compact electronics system is available that includes a digital display, a switch output and an analogue output.
