Kobold MIM Magnetic Flow Meter

The Kobold MIM Electromagnetic Flowmeter is a compact meter utilising the latest Kobold Technology and is designed to measure and monitor small and medium flows of the most common water based conductive liquids transfer applications throughout industry.  The measurement of small to medium volumes of water based conductive products is a common requirement within many industries. Typical applications are found in the manufacture of car care products, food & beverage solutions, agricultural, building products, cosmetics, pharmaceutical & chemicals

Housings material and electrodes are stainless steel with Peek insulation parts. Installation is quick and easy with male screwed connections.

The device operates according to the electromagnetic measurement principle. According to Faraday’s Law of magnetic induction, a voltage is induced in a conductor moving through a magnetic field. The electrically conductive measuring agent acts as the moved conductor. The voltage induced in the measuring agent is proportional to the flow velocity and is therefore a value for the volumetric flow. The flowing media must have a minimum conductivity. The induced voltage is picked up by two sensing electrodes which are in contact with the measuring agent and sent to the measuring amplifier.

The flow rate will be calculated based on the cross sectional area of the pipe.

The measurement is not depending on the process liquid and its material properties such as density, viscosity and temperature. Two given outputs can be set to be switch, analogue or frequency. Also a dosing (batch) function can be selected, where output 1 is set as switch NPN / PNP / PP and output 2 is set as control input.

The Kobold MIM Magnetic Flow Meter is a compact meter. Utilising the latest Kobold Electromagnetic Flow Meter Technology. This meter is designed to measure and monitor small and medium flows. Suitable for the most common water based conductive liquids transfer applications throughout industry.  The MIM housings material and electrodes are stainless steel with Peek insulation parts. Flow information is shown on a TFT display that is built into the housing making it an extremely compact design. Allowing for quick and easy installation with male screwed connections.   The meter requires a 24Vdc power source and is supplied with a 3m cable and connector assembly.

Typical applications are found in many manufacturing industries.  This includes car care products, food & beverage solutions, agricultural, building products, cosmetics, pharmaceutical & chemicals.
