At BES Flowmeters our Batching System are for liquid applications and can be single or multi channel generally incorporating a Flow meter, Batch Controller or Preset Counter and a Control Valve(s). The system operates via the controller that has the capability to be preset to the required quantity.
When the start button is depressed the controller signals the valve to open, and if required the pump to start, allowing product to flow through the meter generating a signal relative to quantity. When the specified amount has passed through the meter the controller signals the valve to close and the pump to stop. This is a full batch cycle that can be repeated after the controller is reset.
The automated system removes the human error factor with the operator having to watch a dial or display and maybe forgets the volume required or is distracted and neglects to close the appropriate valve when a specific volume is reached. Thus to much or two little product.
Batch metering of liquids in small or large quantities is the best form of liquid transfer when moving product from vessel to vessel. The measurement of specific volumes of product can be accurately measured with an automated batch system that will achieve repeatable results over numerous batches.
Fast delivery of large or small quantities of product is possible with the Flomec Industrial Turbine Meter range in stainless steel. We select the appropriate turbine for your application and combine with a batch controller and control valve. The Flomec G2 Precision Turbine Meter will provide the user with an extremely wide flow range and can be fitted with a pulsed output or coupled up with a computer display.
This system will deliver great accuracy and repeatability with an all stainless steel system compatible with many low viscosity products. Positive Displacement OM Series are an excellent choice for batch processing and will provide a pulsed output for direct connection to an appropriate Controller with single stage or dual stage outputs. PD meters are designed for clean liquids such as oil, water, solvents etc. The PD meter can also be supplied as a compact unit. That is with the Batch Controller mounted directly to Flow Meter.
Electromagnetic flow meters can also be adapted for Batch metering and should be used for conductive liquids for extremely small to large flows.
