The Positive Displacement (PD) Flowmeter with only two moving parts also known as the Oval Gear Meter is the ideal meter for precise measurement of fuels, oils, solvents, alcohols, mildly aggressive chemicals, and various other clean industrial liquids. The principle of operation is two oval shaped gears in the meters measuring chamber rotate within the fluid stream and despatch a specific volume of product with each revolution. This very accurate meter consistently delivers product within ± 0.5% or reading with excellent repeatability of ±0.1% and is specifically designed for any clean liquids.  PD meters have the ability to handle a wide range of fluid viscosities with exceptional levels or repeatability and durability. Independent of fluid viscosity the standard meter will accurately measure products up to 1000cps.

Flomec medium capacity OM series Meters have flow rates from 1.0 L/min to 450 L/min with Stainless Steel or Aluminum Bodies with Stainless Steel or PPS Rotors. With there robust design PD meters are an excellent option for Batch Metering and can be fitted with a local display or Batch Controller to suit any flow range.
