Electromagnetic flow meters (also known as magnetic flow meters or mag flow meters) work on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction. A magnetic field is applied to the metering tube and as conductive liquid flows through, a voltage is generated proportional to the flow velocity. With no moving parts and no obstruction to flow, electromagnetic meters offer excellent accuracy, low maintenance and long service life — making them the preferred choice for water utilities, wastewater treatment, chemical dosing and industrial process measurement.
